The most important event of the yearly jubilee celebrations in 2020 was to be the conference entitled "The latest achievements in biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology – 50 years of the history of FBBB".

Due to the outbreak of the pandemic, the conference, originally planned for May 18-19, was canceled. The new date of the conference was set for September 23-24, 2021.

According to the original plan, the first day of the conference will be devoted to recalling the history of the establishment and development of the Institute of Molecular Biology and the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology. The second day, strictly scientific in nature, will consist of four sessions devoted to the latest and most important research achievements in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry and biophysics.

The Jubilee Conference is being organised under the patronage of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University.
